Certain soil microbes can potentially improve crop stress-tolerance, quality, and yield, and numerous commercial materials have been developed using these microbes. However, there is little information on the impact of these microbial-based amendments on specialty crops, including vegetable and citrus, in Florida open-field production.
Our research group examines how microbial amendments impact the soil microbial community and plant health, and how they interact with specific crops and management practices.
