Infiltration Test The infiltration rate is measured using this equipment. It is called the "double-ring infiltrometer". The two rings Are pounded 6 inches into the ground. Then, water is poured into the rings and the rate of infiltration into the ground is measured. This information is used in the hydrologic models to determine water retention and runoff. The infiltration test should be run in the grove, under the trees and on the bed, and on the retention area dike. |
