Geographical Information System (GIS) Research Projects:

The graphic on our department home page is a detailed map of SW Florida's land use as of 1995.  We have joined the SWFREC GIS work group and IFAS GIS/GPS Technology committee.
GIS combines the cartographic data of the maps (coverages) with data associated with features on the map.

Agricultural information we have extracted:

1995 Major Agricultural land use of SW Florida (Map & Tabular Format), SFWMD data.

1995 Nursery/Ornamental land use of SW Florida (Map & Tabular Format), SFWMD data.
