Valencia Orange - Hughes Nucellar Selections

No Photo Available

Selections available at the Immokalee Foundation:

V-S-SPB-1-14-19-X-E: This selection is among the first from open pollinated Valencia seedlings in a grove planted by Dr. and Mrs. Ausker Hughes near Plymouth in Orange County. The nucellar characteristics made them more cold hardy than the old line selections. Fruit production is better than the old line selections. This selection has become one of the most popular Valencia selections in Florida.
