Type and parentage: Citrus Hybrid (Bower X Temple) Fruit ripen by late October but attain best quality in November. Peel color is dark orange when ripe and the peel is easily removed. Fruit is juicy and may have a tart taste. Fruit size is usually larger than other citrus hybrids. Foliage is lighter green than most citrus varieties, with a small, narrow leaf similar to that of a Temple. Fallglo is highly susceptible to aphids. The tree is not as cold hardy as most citrus hybrids and young trees are susceptible to twig and limb dieback following planting. This variety does not require cross pollination for fruit set but it can be used to cross-pollinate Sunburst and probably other varieties.
